Tulsee — Bringing nature indoors
Guide · Wellbeing

Plants that quietly clean the air.

A curated set of indoor plants — proven in NASA's Clean Air Study and tested across our corporate and luxury installations in India — that measurably reduce VOCs, formaldehyde and ambient stress in sealed interiors.

Air-purifying indoor plants styled in a corporate office reception by Tulsee
Why it matters

Indoor air is 2–5× more polluted than the air outside.

Sealed buildings, MDF furniture, printer toner, cleaning solvents and synthetic carpets continuously off-gas formaldehyde, benzene and trichloroethylene. The EPA ranks indoor air pollution among the top five environmental risks to public health.

The right plants, at the right density, with real care, take that load down. They also slow heart rate, cut reported stress and lift focus — which is why every Tulsee corporate proposal starts with a wellbeing brief before a styling one.

The density rule

One large specimen per 100 sqft.

Two plants in a 2,000 sqft floor look good and do almost nothing. Air-quality benefit scales with leaf surface area, so the rule we plan around is one 8–10 inch specimen per ~100 sqft, biased toward open-plan zones, meeting rooms and reception.

  • · Reception & lobby — tall palms, rubber plants, statement ficus
  • · Workstations — aglaonema, ZZ, pothos at desk height
  • · Meeting rooms — snake plant, peace lily, low-water specimens
  • · Cafeteria & breakout — Boston ferns, calatheas for softness

Want this designed for your space?
